I have come across a strange problem in last two week in my network. There is a machine which is getting disconnected from network every 2 to 5 min. I have checked the event viewer and found following event.
Event ID 27 Source- e1kexpress
Intel 82567LM-3 Gigabyte network connection
Network Link has been disconnected.
I was wondering why this is happening. I changed switch port, network cable and updated latest network card drivers but still problem didn't get resolved.
Finally i started googling around and found that there would be a problem in HP switch and firmware has to be updated. I tried replacing the switch itself but replacing switch also too didn't help me.
And after two week of struggle here is the solution to this problem.
Suddenly my mind worked and decided to reduce network adapter link speed from auto negotiate to 100 mbps full duplex and problem was fixed. It was too late to find out such a small problem but sometimes it happens.
